Awards of SIS
SIS Fellowships
The Society awards fellowships to individuals in recognition of their
outstanding contribution in their profession. So far 40 individuals have been
awarded fellowship by the Society. SIS Executive Committee will select the
fellows through search committees.

Young Information Scientist Award
The Society instituted The Young Information Scientist Award in 1989 in the
memory of Late Shri A.S. Raizada, Founder Secretary of SIS, to Young Information
Scientists for their outstanding contribution in their profession. So far 7
Young Information Scientists have been awarded Raizada Memorial Award. This
award will be given to the author of the best paper presented in each SIS
National Conferences.
